Scattersun sounds as if everyone was packed into the same overcrowded studio at once. The opposite is true.
Fax Gang and Parannoul started the project in 2023 while the main collaborators could barely meet in person. They did not even live in the same time zone.
An album made through text messages
The songs were written entirely through text chat. Files, ideas and comments travelled back and forth while the other half of the project was sometimes asleep.
That distance did not lead to safe music. Quite the opposite: the artists decided not to set any genre boundaries. Two-step, breakcore, cloud rap, pop and hard electronics constantly collide.
Scattersun is therefore a true internet record: not because it feels distant, but because distance became the very way the collaboration could exist.
